I first fell in love with pottery at evening classes, then in 2008 I approached Aylesford Pottery to see if they would be interested in taking me on as their apprentice, they did and I have been there ever since, I now teach as well as creating my own ranges of ceramics and in that time have become a mum so feel very lucky to still be able to continue with my passion for pottery.

My pottery is very varied from collections of thrown mugs, bowls and vases to sculptures of animals and people. I don't like to leave anything plain and add pattern and texture to nearly everything I make. Nature is a big inspiration for me and I have created collections inspired by fossils and shells.

I also paint silk, many of my paintings are inspired by architecture as well as nature. I also paint scenes for children's bedrooms.

Many of my pieces are for sale and I take on commissions, if you are looking for something for your home, office or a personailsed gift please don't hesitate to contact me. You can also find me on Facebook, Laura Hollis ceramics and silk painting.
